If you see Traci Templeton, thank her. She coordinated this spring's series of 6 after school programs for the library, and even shared her own special talents at a few of them.
For the last session of the season she brought the kids to visit another town volunteer organization, here's her report:
------
For our final Spring Library Afterschool Program, the kids took a field trip to the local firehouse. Everyone was excited to check out the fire engines and learn about the different equipment used by the firefighters. The kids were able to test, try, and hold different types of tools used by the firemen. A big thank you to Pittsfield Volunteer Firemen, Chief Dave Colton, and Brian Merrill. They answered all our questions and gave us a great tour of the firehouse.
To celebrate the sugar season and the end of a great program, we then ventured across rte 100 to the Pittsfield General Store for some fried dough and good, old fashioned maple syrup. It was delicious! Thanks......
